Step 1 - Registration

You can bid for properties if you

  • are on the housing register (called a general applicant)
  • have been accepted as statutorily homeless by Oxford City Council (called a Homeless applicant)
  • are already a tenant fo Oxford City Council or an Oxford Register for Affordable Housing partner Housing Association (called a transfer applicant)

For details on how to apply to join the housing register click Who Can Use the Service. Either at the start of the scheme or when you are accepted on to the housing register we will write to tell you:

  • Your housing application number
  • The band your application has been placed in and your affective date. Click Prioritising Applications for more information.
  • The number of bedrooms you are entitled to.

You must tell us if there are any changes in your circumstances so that we can reassess your application and if necessary make changes to your band and priority date. If you do not inform us of changes, your application may be cancelled or your rehousing may be delayed.

Property Size

You will only be eligible for properties that are suitable for the size of your household.
